Between your Wings

I really love the sketchy style and the tenderness in this image, you get a definite idea about what sorta story is unfolding between the two characters. Your use of the cool blue shadows vs. the warm orange light also works well. This is very pleasing to the eye, even as a thumbnail.

What I think doesn't work so much are their hands. Maybe you could do what I do, and get a friend to model for you if you're having difficulties. Often enough, a photograph of a hand in the right position will help you get them to look more integrated and less like they're simply floating atop the other characters or scenery.
